25th July 2005 - Geraldton - HMAS Sydney War Memorial, Western Australia

HMAS Sydney Memorial - This magnifieient memorial is th the country's premier site for honouring the 645 australian sailors who were lost without a trace during a World War II battle in 1941. the HMAS Sydney and her men disappeared after a battle with the German ship Kormoran - The last moments of both ships and their whereabouts remain a mystery to this day. (Now located West of Geraldton). The dome is made up of 645 seagulls representing the 645 lives lost when the ship went down.
