24th May 2011 – Cane Brake Pool - 25k East Margaret River

This picturesque camping area is reached by taking the turnoff 4k North of Margaret River or 7k South of Cowaramup along Osmington Road, Canebake Road and Crossing Road. Although the signs indicate very rough roads, the 5k is, in fact, very good and easily driven at 70kph without potholes or corrugations. The mostly shaded sites are individual with some level and others sloping. Firewood is supplied and the clear water pool is suitable for fishing and swimming. There are tables, wood BBQ’s, pit toilets and payment is made by using the honesty box at the entrance to the camping area.
