30th June 2005 - Gascoyne River Middle Branch

192k North West Meekatharra - 230k South Newman is the Gascoyne River (Middle Branch) Rest Area - This large, level, shaded, riverside rest area has plenty of room. There are better spots that are found by following the track along the river for approx. 300 meters. These sites have fire places and bins. Un-fortunately, the bins have no lids and crow litter is a problem. There are no other facilities at this site. -
