11th September 2005 - Carnarvon District - Western Aust.

Not far from Carnarvon is the Heritage Precinct which houses one of the life boats from the German Raider HSK Komoran that sank the HMAS Sydney with the loss of 645 lives, off Geraldton on the 19th November 1941. Also at the Precinct is a tourist train, known as the “Coffee Pot” that runs out to the end of the jetty. Other memorabilia relating to whaling is also on show -
